hello peeps :) it's been.. our blog's been inactive for a while now, I know. I do apologise. You haven't missed much. Well, not that knowing what has happened to me lately will immensely change your lives, but yeah, not much.
okay, so Britt has left to KL and she hasn't been online for many days already and I'm :-( and worried. but I shouldn't be right? since a friend of mine told me getting internet running takes about a week or so, so I shall wait :] if you're reading this, Britt,
I MISS YOU. :(
I just watched 2 feel-good movies on HBO ― old movies ― but nonetheless, still good :) and if I'm not mistaken, both are chick-flicks.
1st one was "
You've Got Mail!"

these are some of the quotes I liked from this film:
Kathleen Kelly: When you read a book as a child, it becomes a part of your identity in a way that no other reading in your whole life does.
.
The odd thing about this form of communication is that you're more likely to talk about nothing than something. But I just want to say that all this nothing has meant more to me than so many somethings.
. . .
Joe Fox: Do you ever feel you've become the worst version of yourself? That a Pandora's box of all the secret, hateful parts - your arrogance, your spite, your condescension - has sprung open? Someone upsets you and instead of smiling and walking away, you zing them? "Hello, it's Mr Nasty." I'm sure you have no idea what I'm talking about.
Kathleen Kelly: No, I know exactly what you mean, and I'm completely jealous. What happens to me when I'm provoked is that I get tongue-tied and my mind goes blank. Then I spend all night tossing and turning trying to figure out what I should have said. What should I have said, for example, to a bottom dweller who recently belittled my existence?
Kathleen Kelly: Nothing. Even now, days later, I can't figure it out.
Joe Fox: Wouldn't it be wonderful if I could pass all my zingers to you? And then I would never behave badly and you could behave badly all the time, and we'd both be happy. But then, on the other hand, I must warn you that when you finally have the pleasure of saying the thing you mean to say at the moment you mean to say it, remorse inevitably follows.

and the second one, "The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants"

yup, the second one reminded me of what Britt said to me,
"..just like 'The Sisterhood of Travelling Pants'" 'cause I borrowed her my jeans but she forgot to return it to me, so she thought of shipping it to me but I told her naaah, she can keep it :D and you know what? I really really love Alexis Bledel's eyes! She's so pretty! ^_^
mmm.
oh, I'll be going to KB on the 22nd to celebrate 'Guo Dong' and for those who have absolutely no idea what this 'guo dong' is, let me enlighten you.
(above: it's the typical dish eaten for this occasion, called "Tāng Yuán" --> "glutinous rice flour balls soup")
mmk, first of all, the proper way of saying it is "Dong Zhi" (冬至) which in English it's "The Extreme of Winter/Winter Solstice" which is, in modern times, basically a time for the family to get together :) it dates wayyy back, but I'm sure if I explain the history behind this festival, you'll most probably get bored.
anyway, have an a-w-e-some friday night!
29.
