I just finished this wonderful book last night! If you haven't read it or even heard of this book,
YOU MUST READ IT! I know I told you before that you should read "Twilight", I'm sure not all of you are fond of books that are just so (considered) over-rated right now, since the whole world knows about Twilight,
but But BUT! This time it's different, it's a beautiful book! Girls
and guys can read it :) Nothing to be ashamed of. Trust me!
Well, what's it all about you say? An angry rebel, John dropped out of school and enlisted in the Army, not knowing what else to do with his life - until he meets the girl of his dreams, Savannah. Their mutual attraction quickly grows into the kind of love that leaves Savannah waiting for John to finish his tour of duty, and John wanting to settle down with the woman who has captured his heart. But 9/11 changes everything. John feels it is his duty to re-enlist. And sadly, the long separation finds Savannah falling in love with someone else. "Dear John," the letter read...and with those two words, a heart was broken and two lives were changed forever. Returning home, John must come to grips with the fact that Savannah, now married, is still his true love—and face the hardest decision of his life.
"Beautifully moving ... Has tremendous emotional depth, revealing the true meaning of unconditional love."

1 The term "Dear John letter" refers to a letter written by a woman to her husband or boyfriend to inform him their relationship is over, usually because she has found another man. Dear John Letters are often written out of an inability or unwillingness to inform the man in person. (For more information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dear_John_letter) 2
thanks to Stephenie Meyer's 'Twilight' and ever since I've read the book, I suddenly have the urge, and liking, to read.
P/s: On Nicholas Sparks' website, it says that there will be a film based on this and it's starring Channing Tatum as "John"! EEP! can't wait! :D
